About the artist
Aileen Merriam, BSc
was born in the Ottawa valley, but now lives and works near the Salmon River.
Aileen was educated in botany and scientific illustration. She has professional experience in nature interpretation and is still engaged in natural history and stewardship of lands and waters near her home. Aileen has used her artistic talent in illustrations, publications and educational resources. She is also a skilled writer, editor and proof reader.
